●ドライバー

"I often think - and I say this with affection - that Kimi is 24 going on 19. Some of life has passed him by, because he's been concentrating so hard on a very steep motorsport learning curve. To go from karting and Formula Renault straight into F1 in a very short time is a tremendous achievement but, inevitably, it's been achieved at the expence of some of the experiences that help teenagers mature. As a result, he's still very boyish. He can still occasionally be a little naive."

And that's down to us."

"Of course I could see Ayrton was demanding. He was difficult. But a lot of it came from his youth, and some came from the fact that Lotus needed him every bit as much as he needed Lotus. And last year, with Juan Pablo, I saw all the same South American tendencies. So I've been there before, and I think I'm well equipped to contribute, along with the rest of the McLaren them, to creating a great future for Juan Pablo."
